The Fifth Silk Road International Arts Festival Today Silk Road International Arts Exhibition Today

The Silk Road International Festival is a positive implement of President Xi’s great strategic conception of “One Belt, One Road” in the field of humanities, and it is an important project for strengthening the communications and cooperation between Chinese and other cultures, reating a new height of cultural exchanges and cooperation. Hosted by the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China and Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government, and organized by Department of Culture of Shaanxi Province, The Fifth Silk Road International Arts Festival Today Silk Road International Arts Exhibition is commencing in Xi’an this September. There were 300 artists from 106 countries participating in the Fourth Silk Road International Art Exhibition in 2017. 

The Fifth Silk Road Arts Festival relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1. Exhibition Theme

Silk Road Spirit, Contemporary Dan Qing

2. Organization

1) Host: Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government

2) Organizer: Department of Culture of Shaanxi Province

3) Co-Organizer: Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology

4) Exhibition Office: Exhibition Office consists of staff from the co-organizer, and its responsibility including organization, communication, coordination, propaganda, and collecting and returning artworks during before and during the exhibition. The office is located at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (contact person: CUI Ningna. Tel: 18618330901)

3. Exhibition Dates，Exhibition Venue，Number of Exhibits

1) Exhibition Dates: September 7, 2018 – October 7, 2018

2) Exhibition Venue：Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Fine Arts, Xi’an, Shaanxi, P. R. China. The opening ceremony commences at Shaanxi Provincial Museum of Fine Arts.

4. Types of Exhibition Artworks

1) Oil paintings, prints, sculptures, watercolor (powder) paintings, paintings of composite materials.

5. Artwork Requirements

1) Before May 31 in 2018, All submitted artworks, include sculptures, with filled forms and images should be sent to the Exhibition Organizing Committee e-mail（worldartleague@163.com） in one compressed file （file name: nation + full name）for the panel review. Otherwise, you will be disqualified, and no material will be returned. In principle, paintings should not exceed 100 cm (width) x 100 cm (height) in size;

Compressed filepackage should include:

· Artist registration form

· Color pictures of the artwork（artwork images size A3，over 350dpi，JPG format）the size of the picture is more than 5MB.

· Personal photos and national flag (For printing, the file should not less than 1MB)

· No registration fee or exhibition fee.

· Please use the Microsoft Office version.

2) Sculpture: The author of selected artworks should only deliver the work after receiving an official confirmation from the Organizing Committee (the date to deliver the artwork will be notified separately). In principle, the maximum edge size of the sculpture should be no larger than 100 cm and the weight should be 50 kg or less. If you have special requirements, please contact the official email (worldartleague@163.com) in advance.

3) Every author could only have one piece/set of artwork on show.

4）All artworks must be original, and they must not infringe other legal issues such as copyrights, portrait rights, reputation rights, etc. Otherwise, all legal problems arising from this will be the responsibility of the author.

5) Organizers have exhibition, research, photography, video, publishing and propaganda rights for selected artworks.

6）Those who have submitted entries for the exhibition will be deemed to volunteerly participate in the exhibition, and have confirmed and complied with the provisions of this notice.

6. Issues related to the collection, estimation and delivery of exhibited artworks

1) Call for entries: 8 April 2018 – 31 May 2018

We encourage both domestic and international artists to apply for the exhibition.

2) Panel Review of Artworks (31 May 2018 – 16 June 2018)

The community authorizes an expertizing panel to estimate the received artworks, and selected ones will receive a certificate with a copy of the collection.

3) Recipient's Address (27 July 2018 – 31 August 2018)

The author of selected artworks should only deliver the work after receiving an official confirmation from the Organizing Committee (the date to deliver the artwork will be notified separately).

 

为积极践行习近平主席关于建设“一带一路”的重大倡议，加强丝绸之路国家区域间、国家间的文化交流互鉴的文化交流，努力打造文化交流合作新高地。由中国文化部、陕西省政府主办，陕西省文化厅承办的第五届丝绸之路国际艺术节今日丝绸之路国际美术展定于9月在西安举办。丝绸之路国际美术展已成功举办了4届，2017年第四届已有106个国家和地区300余位来自世界七大洲的艺术家共同见证丝绸之路国际美术邀请展的盛会。

现就有关事项通知如下：

1 展览主题

2.1主办单位：中华人民共和国文化部，陕西省人民政府

2.2承办单位：陕西省文化厅

2.3协办单位：西安建筑科技大学

2.4展览办公室：展览办公室由展览协办单位相关人员组成，负责展览筹办期间及展出期间相关的组织、联络、协调、宣传及参展作品的收退件等工作。展览办公室设在西安建筑科技大学（联系人：崔宁娜. 电话: 18618330901）

3 展览时间、地点

3.1展览时间：2018年9月7日至10月7日。

3.2展览地点：陕西省美术博物馆。展览开幕式在陕西省美术博物馆举行。

4. 展览作品种类

油画、版画、雕塑、水彩（粉）画、综合材料绘画。

5. 作品要求

5.1 绘画类作品：投稿电子照片作品请注明作品相关信息及联系方式，（名称有姓名+国家+作品名+联系电话+个人邮箱）要求画面清晰符合出版要求、JPG格式、分辨率不少于350dpi、图片大小至少5MB以上，初评入围作品需按照组委会正式通知后确定的时间由作者本人邮寄作品原作至指定的地点（具体送件时间地址另行通知）。绘画类作品原则上尺寸不大于100厘米(宽)×100厘米(高)；

5.2 雕塑类：展览初评入围雕塑作者需按照组委会正式通知后确定的时间邮寄（具体送件时间地址另行通知）。雕塑作品原则上最大边尺寸在100厘米以内，重量在50公斤以下。如有特殊要求，需提前与收件单位联系。

5.3 此次展览每位作者限申报、展出一件/组作品。

5.4 参展作品一律为原始真实创作，参展作品不得发生侵犯他人著作权、肖像权、名誉权等法律问题,否则由此产生的一切法律问题由作者自行承担责任。

5.5主办单位对参展作品有展览、研究、摄影、录像、出版及宣传权。

5.6凡报送作品参评、参展作者将视为自愿投稿参加以上展览，并已确认并遵守该通知的各项规定。

6 参展作品的征集、评选与寄送相关问题

6.1参展作品的征集工作

（2018年4月8日——2018年5月31日）世界各地艺术家均可参与展览的申报。

6.2 参展作品评选

（2018年5月31日——2018年6月15日） 组委会将聘请相关领域专家组成艺术委员会组织作品评选，展览的作品将由组委会颁发证书一份及展览作品集一本。

6.3参展作品寄送

（2018年7月27日——2018年8月31日）具体寄送内容,在初评之后通知到个人。
